INGRID JAMES
Ingrid James is a Pilates teacher and Personal Trainer. Ingrid has a passion for movement exercise and a healthy lifestyle. She trained as a contemporary dancer, with a BA (dance Honours) from the University of Adelaide in 1999. In 2005, she qualified as a Personal Trainer, with her Certificate 3 and 4 in Fitness.
After being introduced to pilates at university, she immediately loved its affect on her body, the positive chances in core strength and overall control when dancing, and in every day life. She completed her teacher training through APMA in 2007, and has been running small group classes, studio equipment classes and individual sessions also. Ingrid works with all ages, dances, athletes and children.
She loves her work and works closely with clients to help their body's move more efficiently with added strength, flexilibilty, mobility and stability. Ingrid has a well trained eye for correct body alignment, and follows the pilates principles of breathing, flowing movement, control, concentration and precision. Ingrid is a mother of two very active and sporty kids. Family life includes rock climbing, tennis, mountain biking and soccer! In her own time, you will find Ingrid running, doing her own pilates, cooking, coffee and dancing.
