DR ANNA GRIFFIN

B.App.Sci.(Comp.Med.) | M.Osteopathy | Cert 4 Fitness | Diploma Clinical Pilates | Owner/Director of Bounce Back Osteopathy

Anna opened Bounce Back osteopathy in 2015, working as a sole trader in Stepney. After seeing her clinic flourish, she found the perfect place to establish Bounce, in a heritage-listed cottage on Magill Road in Norwood. This allowed her to work along side other osteopaths and health professionals, to turn BBO into the happy and nurturing team environment she had always dreamed of.

Anna has always had a passion for educating and mentoring. After mentoring Osteopathic students over the past few years, she now works part time at Endeavour college of Natural Health. Anna lecturers in the School of Health Sciences/Myotherapy Department, teaching anatomy, dry needling and exercise rehabilitation.

Anna studied Osteopathy at RMIT University in Victoria, moving to Adelaide 7 years ago to practice. While she enjoys treating people of all ages, for any condition, Anna has a special interest in neck pain and headaches caused by posture, whiplash, osteoarthritis or occupational strain.

Anna uses a variety of techniques in her treatments, including massage, joint mobilisations, HVLA adjustments and home based exercises. She is also qualified in Trigger Point Dry Needling and sports taping.

As a triathlete and cyclist, Anna also has a strong interest in sports medicine and rehabilitation. She works with athletes to overcome injury, address biomechanical patterns, and perform to their best ability.

Anna has worked in the past with Football, Rugby and Netball teams as a sports trainer and therapist.

In 2014, she spent 3 months working with the USA National cycling team in Europe. Based in the Netherlands, she accompanied the team to races around Europe as physical therapist and soigneur.

In 2015, she travelled to New Zealand with the USA National Women’s cycling team for the Tour Of New Zealand. The experience Anna gained while working with elite cyclists was invaluable, and she enjoys applying this knowledge to her patients in Adelaide.

If Anna wasn't an osteopath, she would be a florist or chef, because who doesn't love flowers and food! She is the proud mother of two dogs, an Australian Shepard Willow and a miniature daschund Charlie.
